THE FOUR KEYS OF INTUITION by Suzie Daggett
Max saw Wendy and her date from afar. He knew her only slightly, but in his first millisecond of thought, he got the message: “she does not belong with him.” He forgot all about this incident until a few years after his wife, whom he adored, died and he saw Wendy again. Slowly, they started dating. Surprisingly, Max had found someone he felt so comfortable with, someone who he did not think would be his ideal mate, but someone whom he oddly and deeply connected with. He termed this a weird incident. I suggested he change the word to ‘remarkable’ because that is what is was. A millisecond moment that changes your life when you least expect it and many times do not recognize the spark for what it is. Remarkable.
Max did not know this, but he had used all the 4 principles of the Intuitive Process when he first saw his future mate years before. Wendy and he belonged together.
Once you know how to recognize your intuition, you can live a remarkable, flowing more self-directed life. You will have the capacity to know yourself better, synchronicities will align, decision-making can be lightening fast and your trust level for an optimized life will bloom. Max was just beginning to understand this when we spoke.
Here are the four keys to the Intuitive Process
Knowing You Have Intuition…
Intuition is an innate human ability – we all have it, some stronger than others. It is associated with the creative right and more feminine brain, rather than the linear left brain, which is more masculine and fact controlling. Some people may need cultural permission to tune in and access intuition. Intuition comes to you in many ways including: voice, smell, vibrations, taste, feelings, pictures, knowingness, or dreams. People refer to intuition as aha moments, hunches, gut feelings, direct knowing, perceptions, insights, light bulb moment, women’s intuition.
2. Pay Attention and Listen Intently…
To hear your intuitive self, your mind, body and spirit must be open, clear and receptive. When you are ready start with mindful deep breathing, which triggers your body’s relaxation response. From there, the actions to be quiet are countless. Do you like to garden, meditate, practice yoga, walk, paint, dance, sing, sew, or write? Find your way to listen inward, pay attention to your open heart and practice, practice, practice! When you ask a question of your intuitive self remember your first nano-second thought and write it down.
3. Check It Out…
This is the moment to reflect on the intuitive information you have received and TRUST the process. When you start an intuitive practice, consciously, ask your ego chatter mind to kindly take a break. Your very active analytical linear brain wants to put the brakes on your creative intuitive ideas. If you find yourself in the fear arena (distrust, constriction, anger, worry +) you are automatically and effectively blocking your intuitive processing, which lives in open love arena (acceptance, respect, joy, hope +). Your ego personality may WANT something while your intuitive soul may indicate you NEED something very different. If you find you are wanting something out of desperation, or wishful thinking, your intuitive voice is not be what you are hearing, instead, it is your ego talking.
4. Follow Through with Gratitude…
A heartfelt moment of gratitude is a very important key to continue to open and use your intuition. You are giving the green light to do more, to go forward, to be open to change. The Universe loves a big, grateful thank you! They really, really do and when you are grateful, you will be rewarded with more moments of clarity.
Perhaps like Max, you have experienced something ‘remarkable’ and do not understand it. Give it time (Max’s moment took 7 years to materialize), give yourself the space to be comfortable with the intuitive process, and trust that your experiences in life are designed for you to open and grow with loving energy from Source.
THE ELEGANCE OF DIVINE TIMING by Suzie Daggett
As a good seasoned spiritual being, I set intentions, ask and pray for guidance especially when I am in the throes of change, incompletion or indecision. I ask my guides (and yes, they have names and personalities) I ask my angels, I ask Source, God, Jesus, Buddha, Mother Mary, Saint Anne, the fairies – you name it, I include them in my daily litany. Mother Earth, Father Sky let’s not forget them. I write…Hello Universe, here is what I need: followed by specific directed instructions for my immediate needs, desires and wants. Please. Thank you.
And, what happens? Sometimes, there may be an answer, a hint via intuitive guidance, movement towards the perceived goal, or the goal itself achieved. And, sometimes nothing happens. NOTHING! An empty blank canvas. NOTHING! Am I asking for the wrong things? Do I not believe enough? Am I not spiritual or soulful enough? Or, does it come down to divine timing, not human ego wanting/needing?
One theory is that the Divine knows the right and perfect time for all events to occur. And, this knowing will occur on a much different clock from our human time frame. Our human timing is very demanding, wanting what we want right NOW, because we know best! Ha! When the Universe and our ego go hand in hand, we are happy campers because we got what we wanted. However when we do not get what we want in the time frame, we demand and whine. The Universe takes it’s own sweet time, which is really for our benefit. Apparently, Source knows quite a bit more about this life experience than we can perceive.
Here is an example of Divine Timing: a friend asked the Universe for a spiritual teacher to move her journey forward. She was ready, but did not find anyone. Then, her daughter had a medical emergency. Six months later after attending to her daughter, she received not one, but two teachers. Her plea and prayers were answered, just not in her human based timing. In reflection, she knew that the timing was impeccable.
If you are out of step with Divine Timing, consider this:
Who Knows Best?
We have been shown again and again that the Divine knows best. Yet we spend so much time and energy to try to manipulate our circumstances. Know we are always taken care of even if it does not look like it in the moment. With loving persistence, keep your inspirations in your heart and soul.
Continue your prayers, intentions and requests. Your deeply felt request is heard, even when you have no specific evidence. ‘Ask and you shall receive’ is in play here. You will receive what you need when the time is right. The operative word is when the time is right – not in our human experience, but in the wiser eye of the Divine.
Maybe you have a life lesson to learn with this timing issue. If you are not receiving your request right away be patient. This is the first step towards change. Your soul is always on the lookout to help you navigate life and learn your particular lessons.
Being in the present allows for trusting the moment you are in – even if it looks dismal. You are loved and protected by Source and this takes a level of trust rather than fear. Are you comfortable with trusting the unknown? Take a breath, have faith, know all is well.
Allow for the flow of life – go down river! There is no need to paddle like crazy against the current; you will end up tired and frustrated. Let your ego take a vacation and allow your spirit to be heard.
By allowing the Divine to take the lead in your life, relief is yours. Knowing you do not need to fret and worry about what is going to happen, how it is going to happen or when is Zen freedom. You will still use your free will as you continue to do your best while the Divine assists you in your earth dance. Simply heavenly.
HELPFUL CHEERING ANGELS by Suzie Daggett
Our car keys vanished. We searched our pockets, retraced our steps (it had only been 10 minutes) and then called AAA. They opened the door, which made the emergency horn blast, which can only be turned off by a key or closing the door. Urrgghh! We assumed the key was inside the car, but as we riffled through each piece of accumulated stuff and did not find it, a small ripple of distress and fear began to grow. We were in a small mountain village attending a wine & art event. Our hotel was 45 minutes away. I was attending my high school reunion in a few hours.
This was looking and feeling worse than dire. My splayed out mind was in disarray while my soul was quietly asking to be heard.
I started asking my angels and the Universe for help then I contacted the newspaper and left my card in case the keys were brought in as lost and found. I let the wandering security personal know about our lost keys. I went to the event booth where I also left my card, almost in tears. At this point, we needed to get some lunch and settle our fearful minds and stunned hearts for a moment as we considered our situation.
Do, BE, Do, BE
While my husband was gearing up in a logical action manner, calling to figure out how to have the car towed, where to get a rental and a new key made, I took the soul route. He was the doer and I was in a being state. I finally quieted down enough to drop inside the chaos to my soul center. After a moment of inner silence, I found my way to the space where I deeply prayed to The Universe, angels, guides and who ever else was tuning in. Please, please, please, we need our keys to show up and within an hour please! I was prayerfully pleading, asking, praying, and somewhat demanding quick angelic action (but not in a finger pointing querulous way). Then I switch it up and called a neighbor to FedEx our spare key to us at our hotel. I called a girlfriend who may need to come pick us up. The scenarios were building to a crescendo when I received THE CALL! Have you lost your keys – YES! They were found, given to the security guy who said “I know who lost these keys” and he turned them into the event personal. This was within the hour time frame.
Over the top Gratitude
As we took a long healing breath, we experienced visible relief, deep gratitude and very deep appreciation for all the unseen forces in the Universe who really love and want to help us here in our earth experience. I have found from this experience and others, that angelics need solid heart felt directions – I gave them an hour since after that time frame, other events would need to unfold. Our gratitude was immediate and ongoing. When I checked inward, I could see my angels clapping and cheering! They were so happy to be of assistance. They adored the attention, trust, belief, and love they felt from us. I marveled in appreciation as I watched and saw the effects of my soul in action. It was a powerful reminder that we do have connections on the other side; we do have help available; we do have all we need. We just need to ask, tune in and believe.
As we drove out of town, we passed our helpful security guy and said: “look, we are driving!” He laughed, pleased to be of help. The angels were laughing, and so were we, so were we!
