. . . soulful musings and mindful reflections on everyday living
DEAR SOURCE: On Death & Dying
April 18, 2014
On a walk today, we had a discussion about the dying process. My friends have a deeper window into the world of passing (one is writing a book about death and the other is a spiritual teacher). It is fascinating for me to be a listener and observer of these two bright minds. Apparently, if one is ready to pass and allows their soul to be clear, ready and willing, the passage can be far easier than one who is holding deep fear of the unknown.
The fear of dying is so misunderstood in our society and culture that there are Death Cafes popping up to help normalize the fear. My take is that what we are working on here in this life continues on the other side and if we are clear on our mission for our soul to be love, we can have an easier passing. I hope I am years from this happening, but in the meantime, I am paying attention to how my soul feels about death. And, for now, I report - it's all good and I look forward to seeing you - when the time is right of course!
