Loving and appreciating myself
April 17, 2015
Dear Source…I had a wonderful revelation in the last few days. I am loving myself! Honestly and introspectively. Why now? What has changed to bring deeper awareness into the ‘love thyself’ emotional pot? Well, I had someone mirror back an issue I was dealing with and the Aha moment came to life. To love oneself is to find ways to change our minds when the negative discourses of the day or night creep up and challenge us. The thoughts: “I am not good enough”, “no one appreciates me” and “I should just give up” are just thoughts which can be changed by conscious awareness of a different reality. The revolving door of negative entanglement is being presented to us to offer a chance for change. If we are observant (and, this is a spiritual practice), we can take this opportunity to face the circular demons and replace them with positive and true attributes about ourselves. I am recognizing personality traits about me that I love and appreciate. In the morning and evening I remind myself of moments which were positive and lovable, to counter those whirling negative thoughts. This is not a narcissist nor self-centered recap, rather, a moment to step into my core and be happy with me, warts and all.
Once you learn to love and appreciate yourself, all kinds of very remarkable events begin to unfold. Thank you for being present to and for me, Suzie…
