Dear Friends… the last few months have been filled with odd energies swirling in dissident directions. Sometimes the energy was upsetting, other times, loving and kind. When a decision I made felt secure, it became shaky. What seemed like a certain direction flipped 180 degrees. Plane flights were rearranged more than twice. Plans were cattywampus, uneven, disrupted and unreliable.
My sensitivity to the psychic energy of others caused me to take on their energy, emotions and worries. I forgot simple exercises to create boundaries and keep my energy clear while not taking on the turbulence of those around me. Energy is everything and everywhere. If you are an empath or sensitive to the energy flowing around you, know you are not alone.
To help yourself in any disruptive energy situation, consider the following:
Deep belly breathing helps you relax. Breathe deeply in through your nose and slowly exhale through your mouth.
When others’ emotions consume you, think or write five things that separate you from them. Wash your hands with the intention of letting the spent emotions exit the drain.
Go outside, move your body. Even if the weather is uncooperative, being in nature even for a few minutes can help shift the burden of disruptive energies.
Know that the stress and drama will pass. When you are in high gear, drama and energy disruptions tend to follow. This is a temporary situation and will change, hopefully for the better.
Be grateful. When you list what you are grateful for, you will sink into loving positive soul energy.
Finally, create a mantra for yourself and repeat it often… mine is: I release any and all energies that are not mine from my mind, body and spirit. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
